All class placements are made by the director.

Children in Creative Movement, Ballet/Tap, Pre Primary and Primary are placed according to age by 8-01-11

Ballet Grades levels 1-Advanced

require a placement audition if you

are not currently enrolled at

The Austin Conservatory of the Arts.

Pointe work is included in the

curriculum for Ballet Grade levels 5

and up, and occasionally in Grade 4 depending on the level of the dancers.

Our Jazz classes, at level 5 and above

include all styles of jazz: modern,

lyrical, contemporary and work

specific to a particular decade or era.

Advanced Jazz 8/En Avant Dance

Company is by audition only.

An important part of our curriclum is learning the art of choreography. Throughout the year, the dancers are required to develop their works to present at the annual Spring Student Performance in June.

Tap classes include the Broadway

and Rhythm styles of tap.

Students are encouraged to participate in the choreographic aspect of the

advanced tap class.

Musical Theatre class includes basic vocal instruction and musical theatre movement.

A full musical will be performed at the end

of the school year.

Most dancers who have auditioned for

The Austin City Ballet, are also

required to enroll in and attend the

ACB Company Class throughout

the performing season.
