The Austin City Ballet, formerly The Conservatory Dance Theatre, made up of dancers ages 8 - 18, is a

non-profit tax exempt organization specializing in performances by children for children.  ACB has been operating since 1991, and in May of 1999, as a non-profit entity.  Our contemporary dance company,

En Avant, operates under the umbrella of ACB, and is for the more technically advanced dancer who has also studied Jazz and Modern dance extensively.  Our goals for the coming years include more community programs, expansion of our classical repertoire and original works, and to provide dance scholarships to our dancers.

MISSION STATEMENT

To bring theatrical dance to the greater Austin community in an entertaining and educational arena.

To train and educate dancers in all aspects of theatrical performance, from technical preparation,

lighting design, set design, costuming, and choreography.

To provide scholarships for aspiring performers to pursue training opportunities.
