9th Annual Austin Children's Nutcracler

Auditions are Saturday, August 22, 2009
Auditions will be held at the ACA Studio, 14735 Bratton Lane, Suite 125, Austin, TX 78728.

There is a $15 audition fee. Required attire for the audition is a black leotard, pink tights and ballet slippers for females and balck tights and white shirt for males. Pointe work will be seen in levels two and three if the dancer has been doing pointe work for at least six months. Please bring a current resume to the audition.

Dancers must be at least 8 years old by August 22, 2009 in order to audition. Dancers who are currently studying pointe work should bring their pointe shoes to the audition only if dancer has been on pointe for at least 6 months. It is preferable that all dancers have at least one to two years of dance experience. Adults, Men and Boys are encouraged to audition even with little movement experience. Theatrical experience is desirable. Auditions will be conducted according to age groups and roles will be assigned based on the dancers technical ability and theatrical presentation.

The audtion is divided by age group. There will be a mandatory parent's meeting during each audition time. Important information will be given out during the meeting including finances, rehearsal dates and times and performance dates.
